This policy explains what personal information My Big Beautiful Wedding collects, why, and what your rights are. My Big Beautiful Wedding is a trading name of [your full name], a sole trader based in London, UK. For data protection law we are the “controller” of the information described here.

What we collect

• Enquiries and sign-ups: your name, email or phone, business name, category, regions you cover, social media handles and anything you write in a form.
• Wedding website orders: both names, email, phone, wedding date, event details (dates, times, venues, dress codes), design and package choices, photos you send us and any notes.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We see your name, email, what you bought and the amount, but never your full card number.
• Guest replies on couples’ websites: guest names, which events they are attending, headcounts, dietary needs and messages.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To provide what you ordered (building wedding websites, listing suppliers, spotlight posts): necessary for our contract with you.
• To reply to enquiries and follow up with suppliers we have contacted: our legitimate interest in running and growing the business. You can ask us to stop at any time.
• To keep financial records: a legal obligation (tax and accounting rules).
• Marketing emails: only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Guest information on wedding websites

When guests reply on a couple’s wedding website, the couple decides what information is collected and how it is used. We process those replies on the couple’s behalf to show them their guest list, and we do not use guest information for our own marketing.

Who we share it with

We only share information with services that help us run the site: Stripe (payments), Formspree (form delivery), Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding) and our email provider. Some of these process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved under UK data protection law. We never sell your information. Supplier listings and spotlight posts are public by design, and only include details you give us for that purpose.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries from people who don’t go ahead: up to 12 months.
• Wedding websites and guest replies: until 12 months after the couple’s last event, then deleted, unless the couple asks us to delete them sooner.
• Supplier listings: while the listing is active, plus 12 months.
• Payment and accounting records: 6 years, as UK tax rules require.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@mybigbeautifulwedding.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payments securely and prevent fraud. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
